چکیده

A voltage reference using a depletion-mode device is designed in a 0.13μm CMOS process and achieves ultra-low power consumption and sub-1V operation without sacrificing temperature and supply voltage insensitivity. Measurements show a temperature coefficient of 3.6ppm/C, line sensitivity of 0.033%/V, power supply rejection ratio of -67dB, and power consumption of 2.2pW. It requires only two devices and functions down to Vdd=0.5V with an area of 1350μm. A variant for higher Vout is also demonstrated.

A 0.5V 3-order Tunable gm-C Filter

This paper proposes a 3-order gm-C filter that operates with the extremely low voltage supply of 0.5 V. The employed transconductor is capable for operating in an extremely low voltage power supply environment. A benefit offered by the employed transconductor is that the filter’s cut-off frequency can be tuned, through a dc control current, for relatively large ranges. The filter structure was ...

Micro-Power FinFET RF Front-End for Embedded Wireless Systems

A micro-power RFIC front-end, a low-noise amplifier (LNA) combined with a voltage controlled oscillator (VCO), has been designed using FinFET BSIMSOI model, which is developed for all FinFET transistors fabricated at the SPAWAR system center. The LNA power consumption is 26 μW at 0.5V supply and the VCO power consumption is 29 μW at 0.5V supply.

A 2.6nW, 0.5V, 52dB-DR, 4th-order Gm-C BPF: Moving closer to the FoM's fundamental limit

A nano-power 4-order band-pass filter operating from a 0.5 V supply voltage with an adjustable center frequency, ranging from 250 Hz to 4 kHz (4 octaves), is presented. The filter is constituted from cascadable 2-order circuit cells that are realized by a network of three transistors and two capacitors comprising only one branch of bias current. As a result of the compact low voltage circuit ar...

A 0.45nW, 0.5V, 59-dB DR, Gm-C Low-pass Filter for Portable ECG Recording

This paper presents the design of a sub-threshold CMOS G,„-C low-pass filter in a portable ECG detection system. The proposed filter is formed by cascading 6 stages of identical l^'-order low-pass sections. With a minimum number of active components in the l^'-order section, the noise contribution of the circuit can be kept low while minimizing the size of transistors and capacitors. The filter...
